GOVERNOR BALRAM Jakhar and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan have greeted the people on the pious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Pongal and Lohdi.
The Governor said that the festivals of Makar Sankranti and Pongal that fall on the same day signify tradition of unity in diversity of the country. He said that both the festivals have the same message- spread brotherhood and happiness.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that the occasion of Makar Sankranti manifests enthusiasm of farmers and the generosity of Mother Nature. Wishing prosperity to the farmers, he assured commitment to their progress.
