Man arrested for raping stepdaughter

A 35-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 12-year-old stepdaughter on Wednesday evening in Gurgaon. The incident was reported from Ghata village near sector 56. The accused was arrested after the victim lodged a complaint at the sector 56 police station.

The victim, Neha (name changed) was living in Gurgaon with her mother Sunita and the accused Virender Singh. According to the police the accused was the brother-in-law of victim’s mother. He married Sunita after the death of her first husband.

According to the police, the accused was also threatening the victim. However, on Wednesday, Neha managed to reach the police station and informed about her harassment.

A police team reached and arrested the accused. According to the complaint, the accused had allegedly raped the minor girl when the victim’s mother was not at home. He has been raping her for the last 15 days.
