Man brutally assaults wife
A WOMAN was allegedly beaten up, stripped and thrown out of the house by her husband in Govindpura area. According to police sources, the victim, Rajeshwari, 35, resident of Habibganj area, was beaten up by her husband Somnath a few days back as she had accused him of having illicit relations with another woman.

The accused allegedly stripped her, thrashed her with belts and forced her out of house. She somehow reached an acquaintance’s house and was later admitted to hospital.
Rajeshwari is a nurse by profession. The incident was reportedly only today. The accused is yet to be arrested. In another incident, a woman’s gold chain was snatched in Shahjehanabad late on Friday night.
The complainant, Radhika Lalwani, 25, resident of Rajiv Colony, had gone to her relative’s house at Idgah Hills and was returning when two unidentified motorcycle-borne youths snatched her gold chain and fled from the spot.
