Thane police arrested a 28-year-old man for robbing his own house. On July 29, Shobha Sonawane had reported the theft of gold jewellery worth Rs 45,000.

Thane police arrested a 28-year-old man for robbing his own house. On July 29, Shobha Sonawane had reported the theft of gold jewellery worth Rs 45,000 at Vartak Nagar police station.

After noticing several suspicious details about the crime, police officials interrogated Sonawane’s son Shailesh, who admitted to stealing the jewellery using duplicate keys.

Police later recovered the jewellery from a jeweller at Vikhroli, where Shailesh had mortgaged it.
