MANIT students shine at Technosearch-06

STUDENTS OF the host Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) bagged the maximum number of prizes in the various competitions organised under `Technosearch 06’ – the three-day technical events programme that concluded on Saturday.
The event ended with a colourful closing and prize distribution ceremony. The prizes were distributed by institute Director Dr KS Pandey, who was the chief guest and Deputy Director Dr Ashutosh Sharma, who presided over the function.
Speaking on the occasion Prof Pandey congratulated all the winners and expressed his hopes that the next Technosearch event would get international recognition.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma congratulated students’ council members for the successful organisation of the function. He also thanked all the faculty and staff members of the institute for their wholehearted co-operation during the events.
Students’ council President Manjeet Pandey also thanked his colleagues for their co-operation and thanked all faculty members of the institute for judging the events. He specially thanked Security Officer of the institute for tight security arrangements during the three-day function.
On the last day of the event, only two competitions namely ‘Srijan’ – technical case study and ‘Movie Making’ were held. In the event Srijan case studies on Iceland and World War Weapons were highly appreciated by the audience. Apart from these events this morning a workshop was organised by the software company ‘Accenture’.
In the workshop Accenture informed students about future plans of their company and recruitment scenario for the next year. It may be recalled that Accenture has already given placements to 96 MANIT students in the year 2005-06.
The hacking guru Ankit Fadia once again came to the institute and delivered a highly informatic lecture on some new developments in the hacking technology.
After the successful organisation of the Technosearch, institute has organised a live performance of playback singer Richa Sharma on Sunday evening.
