Maoists kill two rivals, blow up house in Chatra

Suspected Maoists today killed two ultras of a rival outfit and blew up a house at Sohaban village in Chatra district, police said. Acting on the information that Trititya Prastuti Committee (TPC) chief Brajesh Ganju was at home, about 200 Maoists attacked the house at about 1 am, killing the group's self-styled area commander Mohan Ganju and his associate Ramdeo Ganju, district police chief Prabhat Kumar said here. Brajesh Ganju managed to escape, he said.

The Maoists later used dynamite to blow up the vacant house. The TPC is a breakaway group of the CPI (Maoist) and has a strong presence in Palamau, Chatra, Latehar and Garwah districts.
