The burly left hander is a key player in England's team having been drafted into the squad only two-and-a-half years ago.

Trescothick made an immediate impact with 79 on his debut and has never looked back.

And following a number of fine performances he put an unwanted record behind him in the ICC Champions Trophy.

Three previous centuries had come in English defeats, but finally he scored three figures in a winning cause.

He hits the ball hard and fast all around the wicket and is adept at finding holes in the field.

Trescothick is also likely to be drafted in behind the stumps should anything happen to first choice wicketkeeper Alec Stewart.
