MatrixOne Inc, a leading provider of collaborative Product Lifecycle Management solutions, said on Thursday that it has entered into a reseller agreement with D'GIPRO Design Automation Marketing Pvt Ltd to provide semiconductor design management solutions and services to companies.
As part of the agreement, the two companies would provide solutions and services for both multi-national and domestic companies in India, including MatrixOne solutions, senior executives said.
The partnership would deliver the local MatrixOne product support and EDA best practices from D'GIPRO enabling companies to improve their product design, development and delivery processes, D'GIPRO Managing Director S Ramachandran told reporters.
MatrixOne Asia Vice-President and Managing Director Andy Kalambi said India had emerged as the largest offshore semiconductor design hub outside the US.
"Our presence in India through D'GIPRO will strengthen our commitment to supporting our global customers with design centres in India as well as local Indian companies that would like to leverage global best practices in semiconductor design data management solutions", he said.
By formalising partnership with D'GIPRO, "we are expanding our reach and increasing our ability to bring customers improved time-to-market and better collaboration with suppliers and customers across-the-board," Patricia Megowan, Vice-President of MatrixOne's global electronic business unit, said.
Quoting a Frost and Sullivan survey, Ramachandran said the Indian semiconductor and embedded design market would grow at 30 per cent annually over the next 10 years to reach $43 billion revenues by 2015, creating 3.5 million jobs.
D'GIPRO, headquartered in Bangalore, is a leading EDA tools solutions provider in India. US-based MatrixOne has locations throughout North America, Europe and the Asia-Pacific.
