So, now, we have lost eight in a row. With a day to go for the third and most important game of this series, we have a tough task at hand. It is very important for us to not look at history and think of the game ahead.
As an international player we are obviously looking to win at all times irrespective of how many games we may have won or lost. In the last game, we did one part right when we batted well. I thought 260 was a competitive total. But Gambhir played so well that he destroyed us. We bowled poorly to him. That does not take anything away from him. We need to improve our bowling considerably.
One area that we have obviously done well has been our fielding. It's an intrinsic part of our game. Now, we want our batting and bowling to rise to that standard.
One man who will make a difference to our side is Brendon McCullum. We are hopeful that he will train and play well for the side.
India have made changes, but one thing is that because of the IPL, we know the players well. It will still be a challenge. It is good that we get to play the likes of Zaheer because it gives us a chance to test ourselves against some of the best cricketers in the business.
As we enter the final week of the tour, I can say what many in my team have said that they have enjoyed it every bit. I have been coming to India for 13-14 years and enjoy it very much. The people in India have embraced me and so have I.
