The promos of Sangita Ghosh in a sexy red sari romancing Rohit Roy are doing the rounds of Star Plus.

After her sizzling presenter act with Shabbir Ahluwalia in Nach Baliye a few months ago, Sangita is back this time doing what she does best — wear good clothes, look good and mouth sentimental, romantic lines — in Ravi Chopra’s family drama, Viraasat.

Sangita plays Priyanka who marries “Rohit Roy’s character. It’s about two warring families and their enmity is like a terminal disease which doesn’t have a cure and I marry into that family with the hope of solving their problem,” she says briefly about the show which goes on air on June 12.

Roy was recently quoted on a gossip show talking about a sensuous scene he had shot “with this actress who is supposed to be hot on TV”.

Mention that to Sangita and she confirms it.

“Yes, there are quite a few romantic scenes but nothing that’s done for the sake of it. It’s all part of the show,” she says adding, “But more than that, I think what’s interesting in Viraasat is the screenplay and the various characters."

"Unlike in other serials where the hero and heroine are supposed to be all over town, solving problems like they were God, in Viraasat, there are several well etched important characters.”

The actor of serials like Des Mein Niklla Hoga Chand and Rabba Ishq Na Hove, says she was initially wary of “doing Viraasat because it was a daily soap but when I read the script I was completely hooked.”

A lot has been said about Sangita’s sex appeal though she says, “It doesn’t upset me. If they find me sexy, it’s fine. I’m comfortable with my body and that comes across. I enjoy being feminine and even if I am wearing a nightgown, it should make me look good though I think saris are the best when it comes to looking sexy. But you should ask the men what they find sexy in me.”

So who’s her favourite romantic male co star? “My major work has been with Varun Badola and now on this show with Rohit. They are both fine though I think it’s the writers who make the romance look so beautiful,” she says, rating “Sushmita Sen and George Clooney” as her favourite sexy people. So what’s next? Nach Baliye 2? “Well, there have been talks about Nach Baliye 2 but nobody’s talked to me yet. As of now, my focus is on Viraasat.”
