From 2008, candidates aged above 25 will not be allowed to take the test. Vineet Joshi, secretary, CBSE, said: "Anybody who is 25 years of age on December 31, 2006 will not be able to appear for the examination in 2008."

Also, candidates will not be allowed more than three attempts to crack the medical entrance test after passing the 10+2 exam.

At present, a candidate can take any number of attempts. Also, there is no upper limits on a candidate's age.
