The slogan-shouting students alleged that the UPA government at the Centre wanted to compromise with the quality of education by proposing caste-based reservation in premier institutions.
The medical students, who raised anti-Singh slogans, said the proposed move of the Centre was aimed at dividing society on the lines of caste.
They warned that if the government did not shelve the plan to introduce quota for OBC, they would intensify their agitation.
