The CM, who visited the scene of the tragedy, said a judicial probe would be instituted into the inferno.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav on Tuesday said he had directed district administrations to take all necessary steps to prevent recurrence of Meerut-type fire tragedy.

All precautions would be taken before giving permission to organisers to hold such type of functions, he said at a press conference in Meerut.
The Chief Minister, who visited the scene of the tragedy, said a judicial probe would be instituted into the inferno, adding the Allahabad High Court Chief Justice would be requested to name a judge to head the probe panel.
He said around 30 people had perished in the fire and 141 were injured, 16 of them critically.
Yadav said the injured would be given proper treatment and his government would ensure that there was no shortage of medicines.
Earlier, the Chief Minister visited the Jaswant Rai Hospital, where the injured were being treated, and enquired about their well being.
He also met family members of the injured and assured them that his government would extend all possible help to the victims. "The government is with them in their hour of distress," Yadav added.
On the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh, he quipped "it is better", adding one should not play politics over such incidents.
It was time to sink differences and work together to help the injured and bereaved families, the Chief Minister said.
