Although the 18-month-old may still be just a toddler, he would certainly give potential burglars paws for thought.

Standing 5ft tall on his hind legs and currently weighing 18 stone but he will reach more than three times that once fully grown.

“Billy is very intelligent and has a really good spirit. He is very good natured and he learns fast,” the Mirror quoted Mark Dumas, who adopted him with Dawn Dumas, as saying.

“His favourite food is jam and he loves tucking into a jar when Dawn and I have a picnic,” Mark added.
