Britain is looking at India as an important tourist destination, British High Commissioner Michael Arthur said Wednesday.

"Indian tourism is important for the UK because more and more tourists from the UK are coming to India every year. Besides, every year large numbers of Indian tourists are also visiting the UK," Arthur told mediapersons here.

The number of Indian tourists to Britain is going up by around 20 per cent every year, he said.
