Mild intensity quake hits northeast

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale shook most parts of the northeast on Sunday.

An earthquake measuring 4.8 on the Richter scale shook most parts of the northeast on Sunday.

The quake occurred at 7.10 am and lasted for around 10 seconds, according to the Regional Seismological Centre here.

The epicentre of the quake was along the Manipur-Tamenglong-Assam border, it said.

Officials said there was no report of any loss of life or property.
