Militant killed in encounter
A suspected militant of the People's United Liberation Front has been killed in an encounter with police commandos at Keirao Laphupat area in Imphal east district of Manipur.

A suspected militant of the People's United Liberation Front (PULF) was killed in an encounter with police commandos at Keirao Laphupat area in Imphal east district of Manipur late on Tuesday night, official sources said.
The commandos who patrolling the area on Tuesday were fired upon by militants and in the ensuing encounter a suspected PULF cadre was gunned down.
A 9mm pistol with several rounds of ammunition were seized from the spot.
Meanwhile, a PULF militant identified as Kaspur Azamal (24) and another identified as T Sana (24) of banned Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) were arrested from Imphal east district on Tuesday.
