Militant shot dead

A militant was shot dead during a gunbattle with security forces in Baramulla district on Wednesday.

The gunbattle ensued during a search operation carried out jointly by police and the Army at Rampur-Sopore village, 60 kms from Srinagar, a police spokesman said.
