Militants set ablaze ten houses in Assam

Suspected militants set ablaze to more than ten houses in a remote village in central Assam's North Cachar Hills district early today morning. The police were trekking to the hilly area across several rivers to the village which has no road for easy accessibility, sources said.

Official sources said the extremists went to Jorai village, about 9 km from the district headquarters of Haflong, and set ablaze the houses.

The police were trekking to the hilly area across several rivers to the village which has no road for easy accessibility, sources said.
