India might have failed to make their presence felt at the Athens Olympics so far, but the legendary Milkha Singh is hopeful that the country would salvage some pride, especially through athlete Anju Bobby George.

Giving long jumper Anju a fifty per cent chance of making it to the podium, Milkha said, "I know we disappointed in shooting, but there is weightlifting and hockey to go. Our Anju Bobby George is a medal hope. I give her a fifty per cent chance of being in first three places in the long jump."
The 'Flying Sikh' also said that if India was to become a force to reckon with at Olympics, it should follow China's stick and discipline policy.
"Medals cannot be won at the Olympics overnight or by holding a camp for merely a month or two. A long-term planning of four to eight to twelve years is required," Singh said in a BBC Hindi programme last night.
