Mobile phones recovered from Pondy prison
Eight mobile phones, batteries and chargers were recovered during a raid conducted at the Central Prison at Kalapet near Puducherry.

Eight mobile phones, batteries and chargers were recovered during a raid conducted at the Central Prison at Kalapet near Puducherry.
The raid lasting several hours was carried out by a 60-member police team yesterday and eight mobile phones, 16 batteries and five chargers, kept hidden, were unearthed from the under trial prisoners' cells.
Senior Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) Atul Katiyar supervised the raids, police said.
