Modi catches swine flu, quarantined

Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi on Friday tested positive for swine flu, two days after returning from Russia.

The team of doctors attending the BJP leader at his official residence in Gandhinagar said he was responding well to treatment and recovering fast.

“He’s under medication and will require rest for a few days,” Ravi Saxena, principal secretary, health, Gujarat, told HT.

Gujarat has reported 40 swine flu deaths so far.
