Modi not a messiah of poor, but of capitalists: Congress
Ridiculing the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) political resolution, Congress has said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not messiah of the poor, but of the capitalist.
Congress spokesperson Shobha Oza on Sunday told ANI, “It is funny on the part of BJP that they are calling Narendra Modi messiah of the poor, because what we are observing from past two years he is a messiah of the capitalists.”
“The condition of the poor is worsening ever since Modi has come to power. The inflation is rising. We can also call Modi a messiah of event management; he is showcasing the UPA government policies as the mind of BJP,” she added.
Union minister for parliamentary affairs M Venkaiah Naidu had hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “god’s gift for India” and the “messiah of the poor” while moving the resolution on the last day of the two-day National Executive meeting in New Delhi on Sunday,
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a god’s gift for India; he is the messiah of the poor; he inherited challenges in each and every sector and is steering clear of them,” said Naidu.
Though the lavish praise of the PM was not made a part of the resolution, there was profuse admiration for his foreign policy initiatives that have been modelled on the lines of the ‘Panchsheel’ and described as ‘Panchamrit’.
