MP: Filmmaker Prakash Jha recces Sehore for 'Gangajal 2'
The shooting of 'Gangajal 2' is slated to begin in Bhopal from January, 2015. While a major portion of the movie will be shot in Bhopal, a part of it is likely to be shot in neighbouring Sehore.
The shooting of 'Gangajal 2' is slated to begin in Bhopal from January, 2015. While a major portion of the movie will be shot in Bhopal, a part of it is likely to be shot in neighbouring Sehore.
Filmmaker Prakash Jha visited Sehore on Saturday to select locations for the film. Jha, along with the district’s MLA Sudesh Rai, collector Sudam Khade and social workers Dharmendra Thakur and Rajkumar Jaiswal, travelled within the city to finalise spots where the movie would be shot.
During his recce, Jha visited the famous Sehore Talkies Square and also found Lisa Talkies Square quite appropriate for shooting. Jha also said Sehore is a beautiful city and he liked many places in and around it.
The enthusiastic people of Sehore thronged the Lisa talkies Square in large numbers to get a glimpse of the filmmaker.
This is the first time a noted filmmaker visited the city and a movie with high-profile actors would be shot here. It is also likely to open new vistas for local artistes of the city.
