MP girl raped, forced to marry culprit

The police got to know about the 'settlement' only after it started probing the MMS source. All four accused have been arrested.

"The girl's life was ruined, it was done for her welfare," said a panchayat member.

The girl and her father did not file any complaint against the panchayat members, the police said.
