MP: Nine killed as truck hits auto-rickshaw near Katni

Nine people, including women and children, died on the spot and seven injured in a head on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a truck near Katni on intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

Nine people, including women and children, died on the spot and seven injured in a head on collision between an auto-rickshaw and a truck near Katni on intervening night of Thursday and Friday.

The deceased were boarded in the autorickshaw. They were returning to their native village Nandwara Kala. The villagers had gone to see idols of Durga on Navratri festival at Kanti.

After collision the auto-rickshaw and the truck overturned. According to the police, the bodies had been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem examination.
