THE MADHYA Pradesh Tourism pavilion put up by MP State Tourism Development Corporation was given the ‘best exhibitor award’ at the recent 13th South Asia Travel & Tourism Exchange (SATTE) Open World 2006 held in Delhi.
The MP pavilion was selected from among similar pavilions and stalls put up by Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Orissa, Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, J & K, Maharashtra, Uttaranchal, Andaman & Nicobar, and all the north-eastern states, in addition to the India Tourism pavilion.
The MP pavilion depicted the salient tourist attractions of the State in a very imaginative and colourful display. In a buyer-seller format, it also provided space to a number of private-sector hoteliers from all over the State to interact with over 500 leading Indian and overseas tour agents, resulting in encouraging response and business generation.
