Muddy waters

Apropos of the report Foreign hand in Dal clean-up (June 18), it is shameful that even after years of propaganda, we have been unable to clean up the Yamuna.

Apropos of the report Foreign hand in Dal clean-up (June 18), if two foreign tourists can come and lead people in taking out two truckloads of polythene bags and garbage from the Dal lake in a single day, it is shameful that even after years of propaganda and spending crores of rupees, we have been unable to clean up the Yamuna, which has been virtually converted into a drain. At least, we can refrain from further polluting its waters and stop dumping garbage and industrial waste into it.
