CINESTAR AND Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Prada on Saturday called Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav a ‘Vikas Purush’ for launching numerous development projects in the past three years. She was in the city to compaign for the SP candidates in civic election.
Addressing public meetings in Ghantaghar, Mutthiganj, Daraganj and Katra, Jaya Prada said the satisfaction in the eyes of poor, the unemployed and the farmers was visible because of the policies of the State Government. She appealed to the people to vote for the SP mayoral candidate Vinod Chandra Dubey.
She said Dubey was the best candidate for the post of Mayor as he was sincere, honest, hardworking and ready to solve the problems of the residents.
MP Shyama Charan Gupta said Dubey had strong public support and his victory was certain.
Jaya Prada who also visited Varanasi, recalled the development work initiated by the Samajwadi Party government in the State. She appealed to the electorate in Varanasi to exercise their franchise in favour of SP candidates in the civic body election in Varanasi.
“ Non-Samajwadi Party governments headed by the Congress, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) did nothing for the development of common people in Uttar Pradesh”, Jayaprada alleged, and added that the Samajwadi Party government took care of the youths, handicapped, elderly persons and girls in the State.
Meanwhile, UP Udyog Vyapar Sangathan (UPUVS) Allahabad city president Himanshu Kharbanda announced that he would support Samajwadi Party’s mayoral candidate Vinod Chandra Dubey. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, UPUVS regional secretary Rajesh Rai declared that the association would support all SP candidates to pro-businessmen policies adopted by the SP-led State government.
Kharbanda said a survey was conducted among the traders and businessmen of the city for supporting the SP’s mayoral candidate.
