"We feel that our decision to support you last year was a blunder," Mulayam said while concluding his Lok Sabha speech on demands for the grants for the home ministry.

The Samajwadi Party leader said: "Those who have supported the Congress government...they have already been betrayed by the Congress."

He said that the Congress-led government was enjoying the support of the Samajwadi Party and its rival Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). "It (support from the rival parties ) will not work for more days."

"The Samajwadi Party and the BSP also cannot work together," Mulayam Singh said.

"We supported your government, when the Left parties withdrew their support last year. Now, you are enjoying the support of the same people who joined the Left parties to push you out. It cannot happen," Mulayam said.
