AERODROME POLICE have arrested an accused in connection with the murder of a youth in the aerodrome area last night. The accused was angry with the victim as the latter had given him his countrymade revolver and then had tipped off the police about it and had got him arrested. Police said that Santosh, son of Roopsingh (20) of Samajwadi Indira Nagar, was attacked and stabbed by Sitaram Prajapati of Chandan Nagar.

Though Santosh was taken to the hospital, he succumbed. Police said that sometime back Roopsingh had given Sitaram his countrymade revolver and then tipped off the Chhatripura police about it, as a result of which Sitaram was arrested. Then Roopsingh had assured Sitaram that he would get the latter bailed out.

However, Roopsingh, instead of arranging bail for him, went away to Gujarat where he stayed for six months. On Wednesday morning Roopsingh and Sitaram happened to meet by chance and the two had heated exchanges over the former’s betrayal, and Roopsingh slapped Sitaram. This angered Sitaram who then planned and stabbed Roopsingh.
