On Friday, five persons were arrested after two died following a clash between two families over eve-teasing. The victim’s father Layak Ram and her cousin Naveen were allegedly attacked by the accused boy’s family with sharp-edged weapons when they had gone to the house of Bhop Lal to complain against his son Pankaj for harassing the victim.

While Bhop Lal was produced before a local court on Friday, the other four were produced on Saturday. “We sought one-day police remand for one Pappu and Suresh which the court has granted,” said Mohammad Jamal, SHO, Palwal Sadar police station.
