Musical on Lord of the Rings announced

Producers of a musical based on the blockbuster Lord of the Rings have announced the cast of their London production.
Laura Michelle Kelly, who won an Oliver Award playing the title role in Mary Poppins, has been chosen to portray the powerful Elf queen Galadriel, while Shakespearean actor Malcolm Storry will be seen playing wizard Gandalf.
West End veteran Jerome Pradon has been given the role of Aragorn, while Rosalie Craig, who has appeared in the BBC's productions of My Family and OtherAnimals and Casanova, will be playing Arwen.
James Loye, Peter Howe and Michael Therriault will reprise the roles of Frodo, Sam and Gollum from the Canadian production, reports the BBC.
The £13 million musical, which got mixed reviews in Toronto, Canada, opens at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane on June19.
Around one million pounds will be spend on its set, for building which the theatre will have to be closed for four months.
