Singh is the third BJP legislator to be arrested for the riots after Sangeet Som and Suresh Rana.

He has been charged with violating prohibitory orders and provoking communal tension by making inflammatory speeches during a panchayat meet in Nagla Mandaur village, police said.

A Muzaffarnagar court has issued non-bailable warrants against 16 politicians and community leaders.
