Nowadays, this is where you'll find the imposing form of the chef-entrepreneur personally supervising the operations, even as his son manages the service. Many find his presence reassuring, but the restaurant is plagued with supply problems, mainly with seafood, which is why there may be occasions when you won't get the dish of your choice. Interestingly, to encourage his patrons to be more adventurous, Baba Ling urges them try out something new – if you don't like the dish, you won't be charged for it. Ask for the Steamed Chicken in Lotus Leaf, Sliced Mandarin Fish, Sweet and Spicy Brinjals, Veg-Stuffed Bean Curd in Black Bean Chilli Sauce, Fried Corn Curd and the Mushroom Pot Rice.
