National seminar on vegetarianism
A NATIONAL seminar will be organised here on October 8 to discuss the benefits of vegetarianism. It will be attended by the chairpersons of states and Central educational boards to discuss inclusion of lessons on the subject in curriculum. Jain Muni Upadhaya Gyansagarji Maharaj said at a press conference here that several programmes are underway in Sagar district under the vegetarian movement.

Jain Muni Upadhaya Gyansagarji Maharaj said at a press conference here that several programmes are underway in Sagar district under the vegetarian movement.
The Muni said that on August 25 a block-level essay competition was held. More than 1,300 children participated in the competition. On September 10, a district-level essay and debate competition will be held. School Education Minister Narottam Mishra will honour the outstanding students.
He said a three-day intellectual national seminar would be held in September, starting from 15th and concluding on 17th.
