NCC naval expedition reaches city

Covering different districts through boats on Ganga river, a expedition team of NCC cadets of Naval wing (Bihar), consisting 31 cadets, reached the Assi Ghat in Varanasi on Saturday.

Covering different districts through boats on Ganga river, a expedition team of NCC cadets of Naval wing (Bihar), consisting 31 cadets, reached the Assi Ghat in Varanasi on Saturday.

The cadets 7th Naval unit of NCC in Banaras Hindu University (BHU) welcomed the expediters. The expedition started from Allahabad on September 12 and after covering Sirsa, Mirzapur and Chunar, it concluded in Varanasi today.

The NCC cadet under the leadership of Unit Commander Colonel Surendra Pratap Singh and Lieutenant Deepti Shukla spread awareness among the people residing near banks of the river Ganga on several issue such as AIDS, Population Control and Environment Protection.

Around 10 girls cadets and 20 male cadets participated in the water expedition. The cadets were of the view that they got an opportunity to have the glimpse of Ganga sites of different districts through this courageous water expedition.
