NDA full of opportunists, says Sonia
Congress chief called the NDA "an unholy alliance of opportunists" whose tenure would be known as "a period of scams".
Accusing the NDA of being an alliance of opportunists, Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Vajpayee Government, charging that its tenure would go down in history as "a period of scams".

Addressing an election meeting in Sirsa, she alleged that the NDA was "an unholy alliance of opportunist elements who have usurped power with false promises and have done nothing tangible for the poor masses of the country."
During NDA rule, the problems facing the poor and weaker sections of society, including the minorities, have remained unsolved, Gandhi charged.
She said those who never made any sacrifice for the country allowed open corruption and "their regime would go down in history as a period of scandals and scams only."
Gandhi said if Congress was voted back to power it would serve the people with dedication and a spirit of service and assured that all the problems, including unemployment, would be solved.
