The series defeat against India will be tough on us. It was a game which had a lot of twists and turns but the West Indies could not pull off a win against their top opponents.
The best chance for us is to look to win a game or two and find some momentum going into the Test series.
Hopefully, we will get the opportunity in the next two games. It is better to finish the series 2-3 than 0-5. The West Indies should play tough cricket and the mindset with which we approach the games will be important.
The talented Darren Bravo was again left out of the match. There has been a fair amount of rotation but it is unfortunate and I hope he can get the runs when he is given the opportunity again.
The one positive to emerge from this game was the performance of Andre Russell. He produced a brilliant innings in the end and struck the ball very well. It was good to see a bowling all-rounder get some runs.
Russell is a super athlete who can excel in batting, bowling and fielding. This is very important in one-day cricket but he will also be keen to get wickets. He is still young and should be able to consistently clock the high 80s and 90s.
Rohit is a capable batsman and is very calm. He was a finisher in the IPL for the Mumbai Indians and is now translating that skill in the international arena.
For India, Rohit Sharma is in top form. Kemar Roach and Russell restricted the scoring and some of the India batsmen fell trying to force the pace. But Rohit with Harbhajan Singh steadied the innings to see India home.

The WI fans will be disappointed with this result. In the Caribbean, we players have a close relationship with them. We are very passionate about the game. But the fans react only to what we do in the middle.
As long as we give 100%, they will back us. Otherwise, they will be upon us. For them, it is not about losing, it is about the way we play.
