Neetu Singh in demand

Yesteryears cherubic star Neetu Singh is in demand for character roles but she has been resisting offers so far.

Filmmakers are constantly on the lookout for new faces. Not just for leading roles but for character roles too. The current favourite seems to be Neetu Singh who retired from acting soon after marriage 25 years ago.

Rishi Kapoor’s gorgeous wife is these days being approached by several producers and directors to act in their films but the lady has been politely turning down the offers.

Why, she was reportedly the first choice of Karan Johar for an important role in his under-production Kal Ho Na Ho. Unwilling to yet bite the bait, Neetu said "no" to Karan as she did to several other offers that were made to her.

Ultimately, the Kal Ho Na Ho role has gone to Jaya Bachchan. But how long will Neetu Singh continue to resist the tempting offers? May be, somebody should try pairing her with hubby Rishi. That just might get her to sign on the dotted line.
