Satish Pal took charge as the new SDM of Jewar tehsil on Friday. On Saturday, he visited the area and met farmers. He has replaced Shailendra Kumar who has been transferred to Bareilly. Three new deputy collectors are — Devi Prasad Pal, Gyanendra Singh and Vijay Pal Singh.

SDM Dadri Soumya Srivastava has been transferred to Agra as city magistrate. No person was sent in her place till Saturday.

After Independence Day, DM Hridesh Kumar is likely to hold a meeting with all district officials. He may divide the work among the officials and change their locations in the district.

The transfers have come as a large number of farmers showed their resentment against the officials in the district following the Bhatta episode. “These officers have assured farmers of hearing their grievances and solve their problems," said a farmer leader.
