New facilities for primary schools

A budget of Rs 9.48 crore was earmarked for providing desks and chairs to schools. This is part of the government’s efforts to attract more students to primary schools and raise the standard of education.

New rules have been formulated for various primary schools. Appointment of B Ed graduates after six months of special BTC training is also planned.

The government allocated Rs 1.88 crore for 1,883 primary schools in Gorakhpur district. Similarly, Rs 1.78 crore was earmarked for 1971 primary schools in Deoria, Rs 1.13 crore for 1,198 primary schools in Maharajganj and Rs 1.49 crore for 1,571 schools in Kushinagar.
