New proctorial team takes charge

ALLAHABAD UNIVERSITY (AU) now has a new proctorial team in place to take care of disciplinary issues on campus. The new proctor Prof Jata Shankar short-listed 22 teachers for the post of assistant proctors? comprising of a mix of the old and the new with 40 per cent faces belonging to the old proctorial team and 60 per cent new ones? as his team that has now been duly approved by the AU Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajen Harshe.

The new proctor Prof Jata Shankar short-listed 22 teachers for the post of assistant proctors— comprising of a mix of the old and the new with 40 per cent faces belonging to the old proctorial team and 60 per cent new ones— as his team that has now been duly approved by the AU Vice-Chancellor Prof Rajen Harshe.

Informing about his newly constituted team, Proctor Prof Jata Shankar said that among the teachers made assistant proctors are Prof SD Dwivedi and RS Dubey of Sanskrit Department, Prof RK Upadhyay of Defence Studies department, Prof DN Shukla and NB Singh of Botany department, Faiyazul Haq of Arabic and Persian department, RK Chaubey of Law department, Madhu Gautam and Musthaq Ali of Hindi department, Shabnam Hamid of Urdu department, N Shukla and KK Singh of Electronics and Communication department and RK Singh of Chemistry department. Some of the other names of the new proctorial team includes Dhananjay Yadav of Education department, PK Singh of Mathematics department, S Srivastava of Medieval and Modern History department, Sudhakar Tripathi of Geography department, AK Pandey of Bio-chemistry department, AK Dubey of Political Science department, Anjani K Malviya and HK Singh of Commerce department and Abhinav Gupta of Visual Arts Department.
