Niki Mahajan is also known for her love of Indian techniques but her approach is far more out there. She started with some white on white chikans that had a Victorian lace like appeal. Diaphanous fabrics were a favourite with her with a corset over a transparent white tee shirt. Hosiery was a favourite with her as well – printed leggings and body stockings were dotted all over her show.

Of course there were lots of colors and prints – something Niki is known for. It was chikan on any colour. She stayed away from sequins and swarowski and used polkas and tie and dye instead to create her looks.

Niki Mahajan presented her collection of Indian and western wear named 'Fashion Curry' with panache.
Niki's creations used chikankari and badla works and transparent fabrics like georgettes and chiffons for the fluid look. There also were all-embroidered churidars, printed lycra tights, skirts, pants and capris teamed with kaftan-inspired tops, kurtas and kimono tops. The embroidery was highlighted by mokaish work. Eveningwear saris were also a part of the collection. Niki's collection experimented with fabrics and embroidery techniques too.
