Instead, they are told to shower flower petals on the leader. The Bharatiya Janata Party leadership in the state would see the mood of sun and take into account several other factors while arranging the senior leader’s public meetings accordingly.

The party is working out every minute detail in ensuring that Advani’s Yatra is grand success in Madhya Pradesh and at the same time ensuring his personal safety and security. The party sources said that the party was concerned over Advani’s personal safety.

The party’s state unit had asked the district units to ensure that the workers do not shower flowers on Advani and use flower petals instead to welcome him. The leaders’ apprehension is Advani might get hurt if any object were hidden in flowers.

The workers would keep watch on public also that they didn’t shower flowers on him. Recently, during his Sagar visit a coconut on his face hit the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan when somebody from public hurled it on him in a bid to welcome him.

The CM mentioned the incident in his speech later. While setting up dais for the public meeting the expected timing of the meeting would also be looked into so that the leader does not face inconvenience due to blazing sun and sweltering heat.

Drinking water for the gathering has to be arranged on a priority basis. Getting the required crowd for the meeting is also on the party’s agenda. The party workers’ meetings are going on from the state to mandal level in all those districts which Advani would pass through with his yatra.

If posters and banners are to be placed at umpteen number of places to send out effective message to people about the yatra’ objective the intellectuals in particular would get written material to go through to grasp the message.
When contacted the yatra’ media-in-charge Deepak Vijayvargiya told the party could not leave anything to chance regarding security and safety of the senior leader.

He said it was the party’s state unit headquarters, not the district units, which would issues passes to workers engaged in yatra. Besides, only a few leaders like the State BJP president, State yatra-in-charge, district-in-charge minister, local Member of Parliament and MLA would share the dais with the leader.
