Fans may love to see them on the big screen, but actress Courteney Cox says a Friends movie cannot be made as "a lot of things would have to break right".

The 45-year-old actress, who played Monica Gellar in all ten seasons of the US sitcom, admits she would be up for reprising the role but she is unsure it could work. “I don’t think it’s going to happen. Would series creators David Crane and Martha Kauffman want to write it? Because they’d have to be involved. I don’t know... a lot of things would have to break just right for it to work. But we’ve daydreamed about it,” Cox said.

Cox feels that unlike TV show Sex and the City which has been made into two movies, the scope for a Friends film is limited. “I wish we could do that with Friends. The thing is, the characters from Sex and the City hopped all over Manhattan. On Friends we were always stuck in the apartment and that coffee house,” she said.
