Now, all power consumers to register plaints at call centre

From Monday, electricity consumers across Haryana can register their complaints at a call centre that functions round the clock.

From Monday, electricity consumers across Haryana can register their complaints at a call centre that functions round the clock.

Till now, the call centre facility was available in areas catered by the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN). Now, consumers of the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), too, will get the facility.

Consumers can register complaints at tollfree number 18001801615 or 155333. A spokesperson for the discoms said consumers can lodge complaints related to billing, meters, connections, expansion of system and power supply.

Under the consumer grievance redressal system, discom employees are required to address complaints within stipulated time. After the specified time is over, the grievance is forwarded to a senior officer. Each grievance would have set number of days in which the grievance needed to be redressed, failing which the complaint will be forwarded to the immediate senior officer. Eventually, the grievance will reach the inbox of the officer highest in the hierarchy.
