Siddaramaiah, leader of opposition in the assembly, remarked upon Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa and Energy Minister KS Eshwarappa watching the Aamir Khan film "3 idiots" on Sunday, hours after Gowda's infamous outburst against Yeddyurappa.
"Should we call them idiots," he asked addressing a Congress workers meeting here. "Mind you I am not calling anybody idiot. I am saying this is an idiot government," he added.
Siddaramaiah was a strong leader in Janata Dal-Secular but joined Congress in 2006 as he felt that Deve Gowda was only interested in promoting his sons in the party.
About four months back Siddaramaiah had termed the Yeddyurappa regime a "government of rascals".
Yeddyurappa and Gowda Tuesday continued taking potshots at each other over the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project.
Gowda demanded a "white paper" on the project since the time he signed an MoU for it in 1995, when he was the chief minister, to the present day.
"What is your intention in raking up the issue again and again", responded Yeddyurappa, accusing Gowda of wanting to create a law and order problem in the state.
