A procession of donkeys would be taken out to protest against Higher Education Department and affiliation in charge P N Mishra from Regal Square to University on Tuesday.
NSUI spokesperson Jeetu Sharma informed that hunger strike led by NSUI City president Tantu Sharma and Amit Chaurasia entered the third day on Monday. Malwa B Ed College Association and two students from Maharshi College also joined the hunger strike.
NSUI workers made rounds of B Ed colleges and forced them to close for the day. Arts and Commerce College was closed on the call of Sachin Silawat and Shaki Raj.
Jeetu Sharma said that the name of Maharshi College appeared in the list of B Ed colleges earlier and hence Higher Education Department was also responsible for the future of students studying in the college.
The students handed over a memorandum to the TI demanding registration of a case against Maharshi College for committing fraud. Some students’ representatives met University administration in support of their demands. NSUI has threatened to continue with the hunger strike and protest if the demands of students are not met at the earliest.
