Two priests and a nun have been arrested by the CBI in connection with the case.

In a petition filed by Mother Superior General of the S H Mount St Joseph Generalate, Annie John and other nuns, it was stated that under the guise of investigation in the case, they were being "harassed".

The nuns and the inmate are being compelled to go to distant places for interrogation, it was submitted. This is against the provisions of Criminal Procedure Code, petitioners said.

"A woman police official has also been posted in the convent for observation," the petition said.

This is against their faith, the petitioners submitted.

The petition, which came up before a Division Bench, comprising Justices K Balakrishnan Nair and M C Harirani, has been posted to December 9.

Abhaya's body was found in the well of the St Pius Convent at Kottayam on March 27, 1992.
